Hole in the Ground?

New Orleans Mayor Takes Swipe at NYC

Hmm. Mayor Nagin already paid for his "chocolate city" comment. Is he some sort of political self-masochist? I don't know. You read it and tell me.

"...when Pitts points to flood-damaged cars in the street and a house washed partially into the street, the mayor shoots back. "That’s alright. You guys in New York can’t get a hole in the ground fixed and it’s five years later. So let’s be fair."

Oh, don't give up on chocolate, Kathy! It's not chocolate's fault that Nagin said what he said!

LOL

Katrina was the largest catastrophic event that EVER hit our country. I think Nagin could have pushed back at the reporter, rather than divert attention to New York.

We have this instantaneous solution expectation in this country. I don't think people realize how HUGE this storm was. It's mind boggling. It's a land area the size of the entire country of England for crying out loud!

Nagin suffers from a bad case of foot in mouth disease. What do you expect from a former corporate exec. Nagin's biggest claim to fame in the rebuilding of New Orleans is the Trump tower that is being built. He doesn't give a crap about the poor people whose neighborhoods are still in the same state bthey were a year ago. He is caterinmg to white land and business owners and forsaking the poor black majority in rebuilding the city. He is a disgrace.
