And this is exactly why many Republicans aren't railing more against abortion than they are.
At one time, they trumpeted that life is sacred, and I agree (as you know, I'm against abortion).
However, this is resultant from the latent prejudice in many (which still exists, sadly) and the statistics (crime has dropped over the years and can be directly tied to the legalization of abortion - see the book Freakonomics).
So no... not many will cry out on their behalf anymore. It is a terrible shame. We have replaced discipline (both self and societal) with death.
